I Can’t wait to get my driver’s licence!
Alex’s Story
Working as an IT Apprentice in the IT Support industry means that for a lot of the working week I need to be out and about at client’s business premises. Sometimes this is scheduled in to my weekly work timetable. However it can be because there has been an IT emergency and I need to get out there fast and sort the problem out!
Unfortunately at the moment I currently don’t have a driver’s licence. So Smarter Technologies have kindly offered to invest in me by providing me with time each week to carry out my driving theory as well as paying for me to take both the theory and practical test. Fingers crossed everything goes to plan and I successfully pass the theory test.
In order to speed things up and make sure I am on the road as quickly and as safely as possible I will be taking part in an intensive two-week course which will cover every aspect of driving and prepare me for the practical test. I will then have my driving test at the end of the two weeks! Which will be amazing especially if I pass!
Not only am I excited for the freedom and independence being able to drive will bring me but I am also happy that Smarter Technologies see me as a real asset to the business and want to help to develop my skills so that I can get more involved in the business and with clients.
