eye fatigueDo you find yourself with a headache at the end of the day? Sick of relying on pain killers? Computer vision syndrome affects 64% to 90% of all office workers and while it does not cause permanent eye damage, it can be an unpleasant side effect of too much screen time.

Panic over! Reduce your eye fatigue with our quick handy guide…

#1 Check your screen brightness

Reduce glare on your computer screen by adjusting the contrast and brightness giving you the least amount of eye strain.

#2 Take regular breaks

Whilst using a PC your eyes continuously look at the screen monitor at a very close distance so the muscles in your eyes are always in a state of tension and begin to tire. You should be taking a computer break every 60 minutes for 10-15 minutes to rest your eyes whilst carrying out a non-computer related task which will stop your eyes becoming dry, painful and possibly blurred.

#3 Blink often

Stop your eyes drying out blinking helps to reduce eye strain.

#4 Modify your work station

When you look back and forth between a printed page and computer screen it can cause eye strain. Therefore we recommend placing written pages on a copy stand adjacent to your monitor. Improper posture whilst carrying out computer work contributes to computer vision problems so we suggest making sure your work station and chair are to the correct height.
