Donna's Dream House

Donna’s dream house is an amazing charity based in Blackpool proving holiday experiences for children and teenagers with life threatening illnesses and their families.

The Charity was set up by Len and Barbara Curtis, Donna’s parents, after their daughter  died aged 20 after suffering a four-year battle with cancer. Most of the facilities of the house have been donated, and many local businesses, hoteliers, nightclub owners, café proprietors, shopkeepers and well-meaning individuals provide help whenever possible, including raising much needed cash which helps with the ongoing running costs of the house.

The house consists of four family apartments, all with incredibly themed rooms. Themes include Winnie the Pooh’s Den, Cartoon World, Teddy Bear World and a Tangerine Room Decked out with Blackpool Football Club merchandise. All guests are invited to enjoy the décor of the many communal rooms and especially enjoy the must see circus room complete with a steam train encircling the ceiling.

Donna’s dream house relies solely on the kind donations of others to fund the house. 99p of each pound is used to provide the holidays and accommodation costs plus related support work. Business no matter what size can help raise funds by simply requesting a sweet tray and honesty box from their website for their business. This goes down a treat in offices particularly at Smarter Technologies’s!
